About WholeThing
WholeThing is an iPhone app that reads a conversation between two people and shows its patterns: who starts, how fast each of you replies, when things changed. It’s made by Berth Studio. Every number is counted on your phone, the report never judges anyone, and it works in English and Turkish. It’s coming soon.
What it is
WholeThing turns a conversation you’ve already lived through into a report on its most interesting patterns, changes and moments. Thousands of messages, one bigger picture.
You bring in a WhatsApp chat or a few screenshots, say who the other person is to you and what you’re curious about, and the app counts. How it works goes through every step.

Why it exists
Most people who open a chat analyzer already have one conversation in mind. Nothing needs to be wrong. Curiosity is enough: a chat with a crush that feels one-sided some weeks, a friendship that went quiet, years of messages with a sister.
Scrolling can’t show you the shape of thousands of messages. You remember the moments that stung and the ones that made you laugh, not who reached out first, time after time, or the month the replies slowed down. WholeThing is for seeing that whole shape, including the things you didn’t already know.
It gives you perspective. It doesn’t claim to read minds, diagnose a relationship or decide what another person feels.
What we hold ourselves to
- Counted, not guessed. Every number in a report is counted from your messages, on your phone. A language model helps word the sentences, and it can’t add a number: a sentence that tries is thrown out. A finding with weak evidence is left out rather than padded in.
- The chat stays yours. No account, no ads, no tracking. The analysis runs on the phone. What’s sent to write the sentences is capped and redacted first, and the privacy explainer says exactly what that is and how long it’s kept.
- No verdicts. WholeThing reports what happened in a chat. It won’t call anyone toxic, tell you someone has lost interest, or sell you a worry to make you look.
- English and Turkish, properly. The app, its reports and the WhatsApp exports it reads work in both.
What it isn’t
WholeThing isn’t a relationship coach, a therapy app or a chatbot you talk to. It isn’t for reading someone else’s phone, either: it’s for a conversation you’re part of, exported from your own.
Where things stand
WholeThing is coming soon to iPhone, for iOS 17 or later. It isn’t on the App Store yet.
